We used the current EPiServer CMS platform and developed a new form, which was hard coded into a specific page type.
Previously, CIPS’ online application form was eight steps long and as a consequence, joiners were dropping out of the form at certain points, leading to a loss of potential new joiners.
Realising that a key goal for CIPS was to recruit more members, PSP completed a full application review for CIPS and suggested changes to the form.
CIPS accepted our suggestions and worked with a design company to create a short form to encourage more people to join. The new form now has four steps and captures the minimum information that CIPS need at the point of joining.
The new form is still linked with WorldPay and the CIPS CRM system via an API, so, once joined, members can access the website with their new membership number and password details.
The Join Online application also allows CIPS to offer promotional discounts throughout the year, by creating vouchers within the CMS and issuing promotional marketing material.
On average, the Join Online process generates £50,000 a month for CIPS. The project went live earlier this year and was considered a great success. We are extremely proud to have been a part of this new design and process implementation.
